Submition Rules

Alright, now that the group has a few members (thank you all for joining) submitting may come underway. But of course, there are rules to do so.

:bulletblack: ALL pieces submitted must meet the criteria that struggle can be overcome. An example of this could be writing about a hard time in your life but looking past it. It can be reflective piece on the different you that you once were. It can be a photograph of turning your back on a knife, or alcohol. If you're not sure about submission, you can submit it anyways, and it will be subject to review and if it is not accepted we will tell you why not.

:bulletblack: All pieces must be submitted to the correct folders (i.e a photography must be submitted to either 'Featured,' 'Critique Request,' or 'Photography'). Please, please, do not submit a digital art piece into photography or literature. If you have anymore suggestions for folders, please leave a comment on the group's profile.

:bulletblack: You may only submit two pieces a day, so choose wisely.

:bulletblack: In the 'Critique Request' folder, you do not need a premium membership to take part. All you need to do is submit your pieces of art there. Memebers of this group can go there and critique it through comments. If you decide to critique a piece of art please state that you are critiquing it. I will personally critique a majority of the pieces submitted there to help all members become better artists. Also, when giving critiques, unless quoting the author, profanity is unnecessary and unwelcome. If a memeber is harsh towards a critique and uses profanity, pleases inform one of the adminstrators of the group and one of us will take care of it.

Hello all,

DisabilityIsAbility is now featuring news articles! If you have contributed to this group, you have a chance of getting your piece featured.

How often will there be features?
That is undetermined at the moment, because we have so few people who submit. The more submissions we get, the more features we will give.

How big is my chance of being featured?
You have a strong chance of being featured as long as you follow the guidelines for submiting your piece. The guidlines can be found on DisabiltiyIsAbility's profile page.

What do you feature?
We feature pieces submited to the group that follow the rules. If you submit a visual art piece we will describe why it is apart of the group. For literature, we will just feature your piece without a description.

Who can get featured?
Any member of DisabilityIsAbility who participates in submision can be featured.

I hope this encourages you all to submit more work. The first featured article can be found here:…

Hi there.:) I'm typing this because there's a Kickstarter Project in need of support, and I thought you might be the ideal people to help out.

On Kickstarter, a man named William P. Takahashi is currently trying to raise money to make a guide for people whos significant others have disabilities. It's called "Partners Without Barriers".

The project needs $1250.00 in order to be funded, and it needs to reach its goal by May 28th at 12:30am EDT. Aas of this post, they currently have $130.00.

Now, this may be a bit of a stretch, but seeing as you are a group for disabled artists, I thought this might be something that you could get behind. If you would like to see the project, here is a link to the Kickstarter page.

By the way, I apologize if I seemed weird by just up and showing you this out of the blue, or presumptuous in assuming you would want to fund this simply on the basis that you are a group for disabled artists. Sure, I could just post a journal entry about it or something, but I don't know if a lot of people would see it. So, I thought I'd spread word like this. Still, sorry if I seemed weird or presumptuous.

That said, let me know what you think of the project once you see the link, if you would anyway.

Is Marisa okay? I was wanting to talk to her.

Honestly I have no way of contacting her. From what I have been told and informed of by her she is fine and just dealing with some changes that make DeviantArt a hard commitment to keep.
